A little over a week ago, I started documenting the building of the house for Extreme Makeover Home Edition here in Houston. The framing of the house was pre-built off site and assembled.

Once the framing was complete, the walls were disassembled and loaded onto flatbeds to be taken to the site the following week.

Last Saturday the family was lured to the Improv for a comedy show where they were ambushed and brought up on stage and made aware of what was to come.

On Sunday we went to their house for a press conference and site prep.

On Monday, we had an early call at the site. A red carpet arrival for comedians Paul Rodriguez,

Tommy Davidson and Ralphie May.

Soon thereafter, the arrival of the HHN Homes crew.

Time to start building. The volunteers and the big equipment moves in to start forming up the foundation.

In only a matter of hours, the foundation was solid enough for the first wall to go up.
